Honest Ads?

September 19, 2013 — 1 Comment

Let me begin by saying, I love Chipotle. I’ve actually researched the proximity of a Chipotle to a potential new apartment. It’s important. In college I subsisted on at least four Chipotle meals a week. It’s one of my favorite fast food or food fast places to eat. Let me also caveat this post with the fact that I work in Advertising. I know, you like me a little less now that you know. Last week Chipotle came out with a new online video. And in true Chipotle fashion, it attempts to shed some light on the ugly parts of commercial farming. GMO’s, force feeding, etc… It’s poignant, beautifully animated and Fiona Apple’s haunting voice tugs at your heart strings.

The Original

Now watch the Funny or Die version. Perhaps a more honest rendition? You decide.

Bike Like a New Yorker

September 6, 2012 — 1 Comment

This is such a fun campaign for a good cause. In preparation for the launch of Citi Bike NYC’s new bike share system, Mother NY and launched this campaign, calling attention to cyclists in New York, and prompting them to use the new website as a hub for all things bike related. I love the copywriting, but most of all I’m a fan of the typography.

This has been all over the interwebs lately, and rightfully so. It’s just so damn cool. Lego’s latest campaign, “Imagine”, comes from Hamburg advertising agency Jung von Matt.

*It should be noted that there is some controversy as to wether or not this was an original idea or simply ripped off from an internet search. Regardless, it’s still pretty amazing.
