Archives For March 2012

Lan Truong is an illustrator and graphic designer for Bust Magazine. She has such a fun illustration style that I had to put it up here. Linear and clean. I love it.

This has been all over the interwebs lately, and rightfully so. It’s just so damn cool. Lego’s latest campaign, “Imagine”, comes from Hamburg advertising agency Jung von Matt.

The Simpsons

South Park

Bert and Ernie

Ninja Turtles

The Smurfs

Donald Duck and the gang

The Daltons

Asterix and Obelix

*It should be noted that there is some controversy as to wether or not this was an original idea or simply ripped off from an internet search. Regardless, it’s still pretty amazing.

Capitol Couture

The Hunger Games is officially playing in theaters everywhere, and I couldn’t be more excited. In celebration of this fact, I thought I’d post a link to the Capitol Couture site. A site created to mimic the Capitol’s hype of the hunger games, introduce the characters, and showcase the fashion. It’s exquisitely designed, and thoughtfully presented. But don’t take my word for it. See for yourself.

Effie Trinket

President Snow

A 7-song collaboration between electronic producer Zeds Dead and Toronto rapper Omar LinX. Pretty dope sound. My favorite is You and I.

Primadonna Girl

I ran across Marina and the Diamonds yesterday. At first glance she reminds me of Lana Del Rey, with her sultry, forlorn look, but her sound is more upbeat. Primadonna has a catchy, pop sound.

A good friend of mine, Shaz, put together a fantastic little rundown of all the bands playing at Coachella. Here’s a one song sample of each band. Get your listen on  The Knowachella.
