Lan Truong is an illustrator and graphic designer for Bust Magazine.Β She has such a fun illustration style that I had to put it up here. Linear and clean. I love it.

π
Nice, super illustrations.
These are fantastic. So crisp – love it
Reminds me of Charles Harper (which is a good thing).
ditto
Nice illustrations
Great share! And the monkeys at WordPress decided to Freshly Press your post featuring someone else’s work!
Cool! A win/win!
Love it! Congrats on FP!
Reminds me a lot of 70’s Eastern Bloc artwork… while a lot of people don’t necessarily acknowledge it for what it is, I do love the style. Not only for sentimental reasons, but because the simple, clean lines and the bright colors are always refreshing, especially in such a visually overloaded world π
Love the Chicago one!
I like your work. i am a graphics designer also. maybe we can exchange ideas.
I love the top one, Would be the kind of canvas I would put up on the wall… Simple, Yet beautiful… I have seen a lot of simplistic ‘Minimalist’ artwork lately and I just think it is wonderful π
Great illustrations! Very creative artwork!
@demetriuscorner I’d love to. Check out my portfolio site http://www.thatshannonbrown.com.
60s Euro ‘etch-a-sketch’ – like far out daddyo!
I love this style. I am an infographic junkie, I bet she could create some cool ones!
I just had to come back for another look. π
Reblogged this on urbanperegrines.

Color composition is amazingly beautiful.

Great colours! Beautiful work!
Very reminiscent of the 60s corporate communication
well i just love this…. this dood is going all over my inspiration tumblr!
I’d never heard of “Bust Magazine” until now. It sounds like the title of a men’s mag! Still, I’m not disappointed–the illustrations by Lan Truong are (almost) as arousing as photos of nude women!
very old school cool
I think Lan can try for the Google Doodle’s job π
The illustrations are wonderful. The textures of the work reminds me a little of woodblock printing. I love how the lines give added depth to the pieces =]
αI like your post I appreciate your creation.

Love the simplicity too. Didn’t know her. Thank you for sharing her brilliant work. Cheers, BBG
very nice and clear. I hope, we see more of this art.
Now I miss my spirograph.
but her apartment is a mess. . . .
YOU GUYS thanks for all the kind words! And yes, my apartment’s a bit on the messy side, but I know where everything is! Haha.
Love your work! Have you ever considered illustrating a deck of Tarot Cards?
I haven’t! But that does sound super fun..
HI LAN, I’m so glad you saw my post. I’m a big fan of your illustrations, as are the people reading my blog. Keep it up!
Thanks so much for the post!
Clean and simple; great stuff!
Talent that I don’t have, yet talent I appreciate very much: simply wonderful!
I think it’s cool how she uses mathematical shapes but still manages to make them look retro by not filling them with full, untainted colors. A bit of a simplistic, childlike style but very sophisticated and consistently worked through.. It’s admirable when people can define themselves like that! I love it too π
These aren’t CG pieces, are they? They seem hand-drawn.. You can’t really tell anymore nowadays I suppose, but still.. π
These somehow remind me of sushi’s

Lan is the BEST! I’m very lucky to have her work with me at BUST. π
They are all sweet design ;o) and my taste. It gives relaxed after pressured work… It will be wonderful if you make letter pad and envelop with those designs!
I like the design for Chicago — very symbolic and true!

Gorgeous, they bring back memories of 1960’s china patterns my aunt had. Amazeballs!
